Using your home setup
We can use your stairs, chair, bed or walking route to practise relevant tasks and adapt exercises to your home setup.
Depending on your assessment, we can also work on household mobility, balance, and returning to work or exercise.

Your home assessment and follow-ups
We ask about your goals and assess relevant movement. Together we discuss the findings and options, which may include exercise, education, appropriate hands-on care and follow-up adjusted to your response.
When a home visit may suit you
A home visit may suit you if pain, injury or reduced mobility makes travel difficult, or if you want to work on everyday movement in the place you use it. Visits can also support rehabilitation after hospital discharge and caregiver participation with your consent.

What happens during an in-home physiotherapy assessment?
We discuss your symptoms, history and goals, assess relevant movements in your home, and discuss initial treatment or education where appropriate.
Do I need equipment at home?
No special equipment is required to start. We can discuss any needs beforehand and use suitable items already in your home, such as a chair or bed.
Can a caregiver or family member be present?
Yes, family members or caregivers are welcome to participate with your consent, which can be especially helpful for discussing mobility or home setup.
Are there additional travel or parking fees?
No. There are no additional travel or parking fees. See the pricing summary above for appointment rates and lengths.
When might another care setting be more appropriate?
If you need specialized clinical equipment, medical diagnostics or urgent medical attention, another setting or medical review may be more appropriate.
Fees for this service
In-home physiotherapy
Initial assessment: $200 / 60 minutes.
Follow-ups: $200 / 60 minutes · $150 / 45 minutes · $100 / 30 minutes.
30-minute home follow-ups depend on location and time availability.
All fees are in CAD. We provide receipts for you to submit to your extended health insurer. Coverage depends on your plan. No additional travel or parking fees.
